Hey everyone , we need to talk about data centers.

You may have heard that a tech company is coming to town with big plans…and they’re doing their own public presentation on April 21 and 22 to tell you all about it.

We think that’s great. You should go! Hear what they have to say.

Cathy Cowan Becker — Board President of Save Ohio Parks — will be setting the stage with opening remarks before our panel digs in. Cathy has been on the frontlines fighting data center energy deals across Ohio, including going toe-to-toe with Amazon over a fuel cell plant that slipped through with almost no public notice. She knows exactly how these projects get fast-tracked — and what communities can do about it. By the time she’s done, you’ll understand exactly what Grove City is up against.

Then our panel of independent experts takes over…

🔹 Maureen Willis — Ohio Consumers’ Counsel, the state’s official residential utility ratepayer advocate. If your electric bill is going up, she’s the one fighting for you.

🔹 Annalisa Rocca — Central Ohio Regional Director, Ohio Environmental Council. Water use, air quality, what your community can actually demand from these deals.

🔹 Bailey Sandin — Work and Wages Fellow, Policy Matters Ohio. She’s been digging into the economic fine print on big tech deals in Ohio — and what they actually deliver for working families versus what gets promised.

The decisions being made right now about what gets built here, who pays for it, and what it costs our families for the next 20 years…those decisions are happening fast and they deserve our full attention.
